The fish was okay, not bad. However, the chips were quite disappointing — oily and tasted a bit stale, like they’d been sitting for a while. Portion size was decent, but overall the meal didn’t feel fresh. Could be better with some improvement in quality.

Fresh, Hot, and Crispy – Hit the Spot! I was craving fish and chips and stumbled upon Holy Mackerel — so glad I did! It’s conveniently located near the bus stop with parking just across the road. The shop owner was really friendly, and the food was simple but great. The fish was fresh, and all the seafood came out hot and crispy — just what I needed. Definitely a great local spot for a satisfying seafood fix!

Picked up fish burgers with extra salad and chips. Really enjoyed the burger, the crumbed fish was excellent! The bun could be a little more wholesome, but the chips were tasty and perfectly seasoned. Thanks for a good meal!

Best chips in the area. Fresh fish. Perfectly cooked. Good prices. Good service. Nice outlook from the cosy little balcony. What's not to like? We have a decent fish n chip shop 5 minutes from our home, but don't hesitate to take a 10 minute drive to Holy Mackerel for convincingly better fish n chips. Highly recommended.
